Synopsis

Forty-year-old, never-married Eva Liles desires matrimony and motherhood. And even though she lives in small-town Fairview, which is a short distance from Raleigh, North Carolina, where she works and spends time socially, she remains unlucky at love in a city nationally ranked as one of the top ten places for singles.
When she meets the handsome Xavier Dupree, he seems to have everything that she would want in a mate except one thing...he's currently incarcerated as a first time felon. In Eva's mind involving herself in a relationship with him would be settling in the worse way.
When her church's most notorious gossiper catches wind of her love interest, Eva has one of two choices to make...embrace Xavier and accept ridicule and humiliation or deny her heart the love its always longed for.
