Synopsis

Max Skinner works in finance in London, but when things go bad he takes refuge in Provence, at the vineyard he has just inherited from his uncle. When he arrives, he is surrounded by gorgeous females, but the winery itself is a dud. The place is mismanaged, and the wine is terrible. But for some reason, quite a few people seem to find it appealing, and are suddenly trying to wrest it away from Max. What’s going on? As he proceeds through the tangles of French, vin, and romance, Max learns quite a bit about a lot more than simply growing grapes and making wine.
