Synopsis

The terrible shadow of World War II threatens a man’s romance with an Italian Holocaust survivor in this historical thriller by the author of THE GOOD GERMAN. Adam Miller, a recent discharge from U.S. Army--where his assignment was hunting down Nazi war criminals--settles with his mother Grace into Venice’s newly-resumed glamorous social scene. Both find love: Grace with the too-slick Dr. Gianni Maglione, and Adam with Claudia Grassini, a Jewish woman who recognizes Dr. Maglione as the Nazi collaborator responsible for her father’s death. When Adam investigates Claudia’s claims, he sets a devastating chain of events into motion.
