Holly the malamute trainer isn't the only Holly Winter in town. There's Holly number two, a dog hater. And now a third H.W. has shown up. Unfortunately, this last one is a corpse that Holly number one discovered while searching for a missing husky.
I read and enjoyed this series back in the 90's and was surprised to discover two recent books I hadn't read. I'm out of sequence as I'm still waiting for Gaits of Heaven. Since reading the earlier books, I have actually entered and titled one of my dogs in Obedience competition. Having met some of them, I don't find the dog show people as obnoxious as I used to. I don't think its just me who has mellowed. Holly doesn't seem to look down her nose at pets and pet people as much as she did in earlier tomes. BTW, my Malemute mixwho can't compete in AKC shows is better at obedience than my titled German Shepherd, so you can't believe everything Ms. Conant as Holly Winter tells you about dog breed traits. I do have the last book near the top of my Booksfree Queue, so should finish the series again soon. I'm still enjoying them.
