Synopsis

Ben Martin thinks he can make a new life for himself in his hometown of Black Creek, Mississippi. His twenty years in the army have left him with both good and bad memories. He is proud to have served his country, but his work cost him his marriage and put him in constant danger. And as Ben discovers when he moves back to Black Creek, he's still not safe.

Years earlier, Ben was given something in the hills of Afghanistan—an object that must be hidden and kept safe. But there are powerful men who would do anything to possess it. Now that Ben's finally left the military, someone is bound to make a move for it.

After years of fighting, Ben just wants a peaceful, quiet life. But it's not going to be that easy to bow out of the action. Gangsters, thugs, and thieves have all zeroed in on his location. As he reconnects with old friends and helps another transitioning veteran get back on his feet, Ben remains vigilant. He will have to use all his army training and country-boy common sense to get out of Black Creek alive.
