i had read another book from this series a while ago. i think it was near the beginning, if not the first. my book service somehow skipped a lot of books on the way to this one, so a lot had changed... this series is about anita, who can ressurect the dead. in this world, vampires and warewolves have recently been recognized as regular citizens, and anita is involved with a whole bunch of them. she is partly not human by now herself, and needs to feed off of lust, so she has a couple boyfriends and other friends with benefits, making this a highly erotic book, especially if you have a great imagination to picture things (orgies and threesomes etc with vamps, humans, warewovles)... this is supposed to be a mystery, but somehow, the mystery gets a bit lost in the back story of the novel and the series. that's not a bad thing though, because what's going on with anita and her coven and warewolves and wareleopards, etc is vastly more interesting. i LOVED this book, which is even so much better than the first one i read of the series, so i'm excited to read more. a must read if you love vampires, or if you're horny, or if you just want a good story.
I love this series so much that I have reread a lot of them over. I love how Laurell get the personalities in with out making it all about one person. I love all of her series and think it would be great if her and Kelley Armstrong did a series or even a novel together....That would be so incredible HOT. Once I pick up one of her books I can't put in down until it is over and then I am looking for the next book in the series......I hope that Anita will get some kind of life that she wants with out having to take too much **** about it. I like that she has taken the weaker cats under her roof and into her life and is treating them like family...I will keep reading and posting my ides, comment and statements.. ...maybe if a few likes and dislikes
