Synopsis

The discovery of a body of a young woman brutally murdered in her own bed kicks off an investigation into a bizarre string of increasingly disturbing murders. The crimes are unprecedented in their savagery, and despite the best efforts of the LAPD, the killer continues cruising beneath their radar.

As Los Angeles begins to panic, rookie detective Lena Gamble is thrown into the case - and into a world of corruption only the Los Angeles Police Department can provide. With wildfires racing toward Hollywood and threatening to burn the city down, Lena uncovers the killer's twisted secret and the case turns radioactive. The murders are no longer random. The crimes are intimately connected to her and the death of her brother, who was gunned down on a Hollywood street five years ago.

Now another woman has vanished, soon to meet the same horrific fate as the others. To end the brutal rampage, Lena must face the terror and enter the madman's world without backup and on her own.
