I enjoyed the story and characters well enough, but I cant help wondering at the authors choice of metaphors. For example, when describing watching a deli lunch being packed, she talks about the sandwich, the napkins, and a pickle the size of a mans d**k. Totally inappropriate and glaringly out of place. It happens in a few other places, too. What is she trying to prove? Its like kids in a schoolyard, deliberately using curse words to try to be daring. Grow up!!
