Just finished reading Ghost Map -- a non fiction about the terrible mess London was before the sewers were created. This novel expands that theme to the actual building of the sewers, giving a very realistic glimpse into how people in London actually lived during the latter part of the 19th century. Interesting characters and a great mystery.
