Synopsis
Like prior Pigeon stories, this one is full of vivid characters and some fine strokes of humor. My only complaint is that, while Barr acknowledges 'there's history everywhere' along the [Natchez] Trace (and she should know, having been a park ranger there herself), she offers little of it to readers.
