Taylor Reynolds, head of a large and profitable hotel chain, travels to his recent acquisition, the quaint Lakeside Inn in rural Vermont. There he meets the Inn's manager, B.J. Clark. Sparks fly as their differing ideas concerning the hotel's future emerge. Taylor wishes to turn the inn into a sleek hotel, while B.J. wishes to preserve its rustic nature. As the relationship develops, B.J. finds herself torn between her professional antagonism and her personal attraction for Taylor.
Let me start by saying I usually dont write reviews because I believe that you are entitled to like what you like without people judging, but after I listened to the antiquated caveman drivel I had to ask “Why Nora why!?!?!?!”I love Nora Roberts! I cannot wait until her stuff comes out. So I was flabbergasted and shocked when I listened to this story. I expect this time of mess from Danielle Steel and Sandra Brown older works yes I like both of their works both old and new, but there is a time and a place for the sometimes outdated male chauvinistic and simpering women characters in their stories. I absolutely do not expect it from Nora.Taylor is the most obnoxious male that I have ever had the displeasure to read about. BJ is a disgrace to the feminine race, I mean REALLY. He grabs her by the arm enough to hurt her. She stares up at him with puppy dog eyes as he frightens her with his masculinity!?!? WHAT!!!Please Nora, don’t do this to me ever again!
