Synopsis

Nick Nicocropolis, the owner of a Vegas casino that has seen better days, hires a consultant named Tony Valentine to study some surveillance tapes of a suspiciously lucky casino customer named Frank Fontaine who Nicocropolis is sure is up to some sophisticated scam--possibly with the aid of his dealer, Nola Briggs, who is Nick's ex-lover. Tony, a retired cop, leaves his Atlantic City home to travel to Vegas and see for himself what exactly is going on out there. He soon finds himself embroiled in sex, scandals, and scams.
