Please don't be put off by Rakoff's fay speaking voice, What he has to say is always fascinating, informing and beautifully, imaginatively expressed. He is a national treasure and I'm convinced that his observations will be sought out decades from now as people try to understand what in hell we turn-of-the-century Americans thought we were doing. This audiobook deserves 6 stars.
