The home to mysterious immortal creatures intent on fulfilling their visitors' secret fantasies while ensuring their own gratification, the Castle of the Hidden Grotto can only be reached by making one's way along an unmarked path through miles of primordial forests and gorges and forms the backdrop to a trio of interwoven erotic tales. Original. 32,000 first printing.
It's almost like Highlander meets erotica. The book is divided into stories of sexual adventures in different time periods. The joining thread is that our protagonists, the four immortals, appear in each vignette. There were a couple of things I really liked. First, the use of unique fantasy creatures. Cliched vampires? No. Incubus? Yes. Secondly, I love that as the characters moved through history their slang for sexual acts and anatomy changes to match the time period of the scene. It may be a small detail but I dig words. And thirdly, the book sticks to the theme of dark delights. This is not a romance novel. This not a light spanking from your spouse. This is a humiliating whipping from a gorgeous stranger. How refreshing!
This seems to be a loose collection of stories focused on the erotic adventures of 4 immortals living in a chateau in France. Not much in the way of plot or character development. There were parts that were interesting, but I prefer a story line.
