Rent I See You

Romantic suspense is often built around a stalker and the sexual attraction of the lady being stalked and the detective ***igned to help her. I SEE YOU had a different twist. Yes, the stalker was there, a guy obsessed with revenge who likes to kill people by staging traffic accidents. And yes the lady being stalked by him is hot for the detective working the case. But there is a third element to the scenario, Dia's dead husband who is there 'in spirit' to help her find the answers. I really enjoyed the story despite the convention of the couple being unfailingly attracted to each other and acting on it. Call me old fashioned but I think they should solve the crime FIRST before they jump into bed but I'm not the one selling the book. It wasn't the best romantic suspense I've read but it was better than a lot of them. The author's details about the life of an EMT seem genuine and added a lot to the story. It was a quick read too so if you are looking for something easy to satisfy your desire for some suspense this book is a good choice.
