This series is fantastic and I've only finished two books. It is so well written with fully developed characters. The relationship between the warriors is deep and involved, they are not one sided beef-cakes. Even though the love story was focused on Rhage and Mary, we got to know more details about the other warriors and the curses in their lives. Every warrior has inner demons and we got to see how a gift may appear great, until we learn of the consequences like Rhages need for ladies.

I love this series! I am waiting on pins and needles for Booksfree to send me the third book in this series. It's Zsadists story! I can't wait. Hurry and send it quick!

I received this book first so never got a chance to read book one of the series. This book and the third book were excellent reads. I like that JR Ward gives you different perspectives from both Mary and Rhage instead of a one sided story, book three focuses on Zsadist and Bella's love story so you do not need to read to books in sequence but if you like erotic vampire stories, this is a must read.

I started reading this series with this book. I'm a fan of vampire books and I'd heard some good things about this series. I really enjoyed it...until about 3/4 of the way through! *****SPOILER***** The love story had been woven...the intensity between the characters was established...and then he cheats on her??????? Are you kidding me??? And Mary was such a push over about it. I think at one point she even APOLOGIZES to HIM? Ugh. After that point in the book I was so disgusted with Rhage I almost hated his character. I will give three stars for the beginning of the book because it was really good and had some really funny dialogue. The last part of the book was a complete DUD!!!
