I read book one and some of book in this series and hated them, so I did not plan to read another one. However, I noticed that book three was getting really good reviews so I got it. I am so glad I did because the great reviews are not wrong. Kate was so hateful in the first two books, but now she has become a caring, but still tough, character. She puts her life in grave danger in order to protect her friends and her beloved Curran. Curran, in my opinion, has become the sexiest male character in the urban fantasy genre. Romance is not a central part of this book, so readers who do not like a lot of romance will be happy. There is plenty of action, but also great character development. I actually care about the characters in this book. I LOVE how this book ends, and I really look forward to the next installment in the series.
