Synopsis

This steamy supernatural novella is part of the bestselling series starring Anita Blake, who executes vampires and raises people from the dead. Trouble with his wife’s pregnancy means that federal marshal Larry Kirkland can’t go to Philadelphia to re-animate a deceased witness in a crucial case. So Anita agrees to take over the responsibility, even though she really hates getting on a plane. To keep her arduer, or paranormally powerful libido, in check, she brings along her lover Micah, king of the wereleopards.

The early Anita Blake books were good. Even when she started dating the vampire, they were still okay. Now the books are about sex and very little plot. Oh, also, everybody in the world wants to have sex with Anita. Even for a fantasy, this series has run its course for me. Do yourself a favor and read the first few Anita Blake novels. They are much, much better. Her later books should be categorized into the genre of erotica instead of fantasy.
