The setting is lovely, the recipes are good, and I love the name of the inn, but lead character is of a type I dislike - one who constantly and deliberately puts herself into dangerous situations and then seems surprised when she's injured and/or threatened. Coupled with an obnoxious and downright incompetent police detective, this is an extremely forgettable book. I won't read any further in the series.
