Synopsis

MY LIFE: THE PRESIDENTIAL YEARS is the second half of the large one-volume autobiography, MY LIFE, in which Clinton sets down the record in his own words. From his 1993 inauguration, through the debacle of health care reform, through Gingrich's 'Contract with America,' we see a constantly engaged and active president. The Balkan wars and the Middle East peace efforts show leadership and a clear intention to maintain our status as a world leader. We also see a distracted figure whose Oval Office antics caused scandal and some say paralysis. But it is Clinton's view that is presented here, and he offers enough behind-the-scenes info to make as compelling a read as its predecessor, MY LIFE: THE EARLY YEARS.
