Jess Whitby may be a wealthy young woman, but when her father is arrested as a traitor she goes back into the underworld of London to prove he's innocent. Captain Sebastian Kennet kidnaps a young woman, who is being chased along the docks and takes her home. Sebastian loves Jess's spirit and prays that her father isn't guilty. Together they are going to find the traitor. I really liked this book, it's a sequel to The Spymasters Lady. I loved how Jess navigated London's underworld and seemed at home in it. I liked Sebastian, who helps Jess, although it might lead to heartache. It's worth reading.
