I absolutely LOVED the begining of the story between Emma and Nikki. Unfortunately, all of a sudden, the novel went in the ditch and it was difficult to recover from there. As a Kleypas fan, I wanted to read it despite the mixed reviews. Had it been another author's work I might have just said it was ok but with Kleypas its author all I could wonder was what happened and what could have been. Fine for an afternoon read.
