I am a hugh fan on Sandra Brown and love her stories. This one was such a departure from her usually style, I was a did not know if I should take the time to read it. So glad I took the time, could not put it down. What a beautiful love story. I am looking forward to more stories from MS Brown in this style. Great Reading!!!!
I just finished Rainwater a couple of days ago. I loved this book so much for its simplicity that deftly covered an extreme mix of complications. The love affair between Ella and David evolved perfectly and absolutely appropriately within the context of everything else that goes on in the story. My heart broke when I heard the words they never saw each other again. Devastating in its simplicity. A perfectly tight little book. Thank you Sandra Brown.
My first Sandra Brown, and if she has more where this came from I will be on the hunt. What lingers in a little corner of my mind is the dialogue. It is not eloquent or wordy it is to the point. In the short exchanges between the people in the story, the reader finds their true character revealed & feels like an invisible eavesdropper in the scene.I enjoyed this book so much I bought three copies one for my sister, one for a friend, and a hardcover for my library. Both women enjoyed the book as much as I did.
I absolutely loved this novel. I am a Sandra Brown fan and I must admit that this book is unlike her usual love stories. Very different time and situation for her characters this time. Great book!
