Synopsis

IIt's 1962 and Margaret Mary Lynch, who grew up in the parochial world of Chicago's Irish Catholics, wants to change the world -- by leaving it. Drawing on her own experiences as a postulant, Mary Pat Kelly tells Margaret's story, from her early quiet days as a nervous postulant and the fallout from Vatican Two, to teaching in an inner-city school and being emotionally drawn to the political noise and reform of the city streets.
