Anderson writes marvelous heroes, but tends to favor helpless and hopeless heroines. Some men may find that type attractive, but I don't and doubt that many women readers do. This one was a definite turn-off. She was so busy hiding out, I tended to forget her name. I loved her Coulter family series, but plan to be more careful in deciding whether to search out the remaining books about the Harrigan clan. I'm glad I rented this one instead of buying.
