Synopsis

Insane, fiendishly inventive genius Diogenes Pendergast's vendetta against his brother, FBI Agent Aloysius Pendergast, reaches fruition in the final volume of the trilogy that began with BRIMSTONE and DANCE OF DEATH. As Diogenes taunts the Museum of Natural History by destroying their diamond collection, the museum attempts to cover over their embarrassment by mounting a highly publicized exhibit of an ancient Egyptian tomb associated with a curse. At the same time, Aloysius, having been falsely convicted of multiple murders, languishes in a maximum security prison while his friend, FBI Agent Vinnie D'Agosta, devises a plan to break him out.
