Synopsis

It's December 1946 and The Chicago Star political reporter, Tiffany Clayton, is looking for a scoop on the murders of three men. The District Attorney was one of the victims which makes the murders big news, especially since each man was killed with the same weapon: twenty-year-old unopened fruitcake tins manufactured by a company that is no longer in business. Tiffany is determined to get to the bottom of this sensational story. A feisty reporter is the last thing ex-Marine officer and Homicide Detective Lane Walker needs. He's got his hands full trying to crack the case with so little to go on. There's got to be something the murders have in common besides the wacky murder weapon. Some foods are to die for, but fruitcake isn't one of them.
