Draws on newly uncovered archives and the co-author's expertise in magic to reveal Houdini's secret work as a spy for the United States and England, his post-war efforts to expose the fraudulent activities of spiritualist mediums, and the plot organized by Arthur Conan Doyle to have him murdered.
As with all good biographies, I didn't want this one to end. It is fascinating to see how early influences shaped Houdini's adult life. The book immediatly captured my attention and held my interest throughout, especially Houdini's interactions with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The book portrays Houdini's strengths and weaknesses. It's definitely worth the listen.
