Christopher didn't grab my attention like his mother used to do in her early books. Then again, she lost that power many books ago, as well. I only made it a few chapters in. The characters were a bit too enigmatic for me. They didn't make me care enough to plow through the rest of the book to find out what happened to them, so I let them keep their secrets and went in search of more interesting characters elsewhere. .
