Synopsis

Melissa Dickenson has been raised in a world of WASP privilege: her father is a senator, her mother lives to fuel his presidential ambitions. In college, she is exposed to another world, as a tutor in an inner-city program and as the girlfriend of racially mixed Blake Ackerman.
