Though I found the plot a bit far-fetched and the dialogue somewhat stilted, the strong, likeable characters and the glass-blowing setting/information make this book enjoyable. I agree with a previous reviewer that the recipes are out of place here, though - especially since we are told early on that the heroine doesn't like to cook!
