Sandra Hill unleashes her best novel yet.
Searching for his little boy, 11thcentury Viking Thorfinn lands in modern times, where he stumbles upon a dead wringer for his cheating ex-wife. Single mom Lydia Denton mourns the loss of her SEAL husband. Then she meets a man who resembles him. Despite Thorfinn's strange accusations, Lydia finds it impossible to ignore the chemistry between them. And as she gets to know this handsome Viking, she can't help but wonder whether two souls, separated by time, have found their way back together.

Thorfinn Haroldsson has searched for four years for the son his wife took when she left him. Lydia Denton loved her SEAL husband and with his death she doesn't think she can love another man again. While Thorfinn is in Baghdad searching for his son, suddenly he is fighting against five angry Arabs for his life. For some reason he is thrust into 2008. Miracuasly he is saved by his cousin Torolf and a few SEALS. I always enjoy Sandra Hill's Viking books. I guess I just like the thought of Time Travel and how neat it would be. This book is just as good as her other Viking Time Travel books. All the Viking characters and the SEALS from previous books make a appearance. I can't wait until the next book.
Now I remember why I quit reading Sandra Hill years ago. This was certainly up front about it. The entire prologue was what appeared to be a violent rape scene until you realized the woman was as involved as what turned out to be her husband, Yuck! At least it wasnt upseting when he was killed off early on. Stuck it out for about a hundred pages before giving up in disgust. Overall concept of her Viking /SEAL series is pretty cute, but my stomach isnt strong enough for her sex scenes. Shes off my reading list again.
