When She Said I Do
Celeste Bradley
Caught in a rainstorm, Miss Calliope Worthington takes shelter in a seemingly abandoned mansion. But when she finds a string of pearls in a dusty chest, she is caught red-handed by the house's reclusive owner—Mr. Ren Porter—a fiery demon of a man who demands that Callie pay for the necklace…with her innocence.
When he first lays eyes on the beautiful trespasser, Ren mistakes her for an angel. But when he realizes Callie is a thief, he strikes a bargain she cannot refuse. She must take his hand in marriage and pay him back in full: one night of passion for each stolen pearl. But when Callie surrenders to his desires—night after wicked night—he awakens something deep inside of her. Something powerful and passionate. Like a fairy tale come true, the monster she married has become the man she loves…when she said I do.

Dont judge a book by its pink and white cover! WHEN SHE SAID I DO by Celeste Bradley is no bit of fluff and it is no sweet heart and flowers romance! On the whole I liked the book. The writing was good, the characters were interesting and realistic and the plot was a creative twist on the beauty and the beast theme. I struggled with my rating because while I thought Bradley did a good job with the novel I did not like the graphic sexual content. This is not simply erotica, it is hard core porn. The scene at the ball was particularly disturbing and sick. If you like your romance novels to be more about sweet kisses and implied intimacy you will not like this book. The reason it took me so long to finish is because I didnt know if I wanted to continue. I am not a prude by any means but the sexual content in this novel was way over the top. I hate authors and publishers who disguise pron as romance. Ren and Callies relationship was built on dominance and submissiveness and that is not romance but physical attraction and power of one partner over the other. In my book that is not love. I probably wont read another Celeste Bradley novel because I was so offended by some of the content. It was beyond silly and touched on deviance. Thanks but no thanks.
