Miles Vorkosigan has to be one of my top favorite fictional characters. Miles was born physically disabled into a very pro-Eugenics, warlike society, and has to fight his way to recognition and respect using his intellect instead of his physical strength. This series has interesting alien cultures, action and political intrigues, and characters that you grow to really like. All that plus the charisma and brilliance of Miles himself, makes this entire series my all time sci-fi favorite.
