Andrew Solomon is not the regular book author who rents an apartment and lives from paycheck to paycheck. He lives in a grand mansion and is extremely wealthy. His new book Far From the Tree: Parents, Children, and the Search for Identity is about children who don’t fit what today’s society deems as “normal.” Having been through some unusual experiences while growing up, Solomon delves into the topic of being a person one’s parents did not expect to have.
